- Vocaloid : Unknown Waltz -

"The music played tonight is an unknown waltz and a melody never to be sung."

I'm backlogging like mad again, since this photoshoot was actually done in Taiwan in July 2010, over a year ago, but I've always really loved the photos from it and never really got round to posting it.

I had actually wanted to cos the Ryu No Naku Hakoniwa Yori version ever since the song and PV first came out, because I'm a huge sucker for the costumes and the whole gothic theme. This was actually quite a feat of organisation, since the members for the group are scattered all over the world. When we first started planning it, I was at the time in UK, Miku and Kaito were in 2 different parts of Taiwan, Len was in USA and Meiko was in Hong Kong. I'm glad that it all managed to come together in the end, despite many problems we had to go through in order to shoot this!

I honestly think that most of my Vocaloid shoots have been cursed somehow. I am not sure that any of them has ever gone as planned without delay/some sort of major disaster happening and this one was no different. We all travelled to the location in Taiwan in order to shoot this (I nearly didn't make my flight there in time for various reasons *cough*), but there were problems with finding photographers and booking the location last minute. We managed to solve it, only for the memory card of our (only) photographer to die right after the shoot. After much stressed out running around and going to electronic stores, we were lucky that they were able to recover about 80% of our photos. It was also in the middle of Summer, so we all pretty much boiled and steamed in our costumes in the tropical weather in Taiwan at the time. It was all worth it in the end though~
