Description

This costume has actually been in my wardrobe for close to 3 years now, but I never got a chance to wear or shoot it. OTZ Due to a super last minute surprise trip to Japan that my parents decided to go on, I dumped this in my suitcase and I am SO glad that I got a chance to shoot it while I was there! The red leaves of autumn hadn't faded yet, so the scenery was super beautiful (albeit rather cold!). I was very lucky that most of the autumn leaves were still in their prime when I went! 8Db

I have always loved Kazuki Yone's artwork (I've been diligently collecting every single one of her artbooks!) and I am super weak towards the whole autumn theme and the colours used and atmosphere in Hiiro no Kakera, so I instantly fell in love with the game when it came out~

I actually crawled out of bed at some ungodly hour in order to shoot this so as not to cause any public disturbance, and to make use of the beautiful morning sunlight. It was quite an experience, since I had no photographer (self timer + tripod + remote flashes were my best friends this shoot!) and it was pretty cold; I think halfway through, I could barely feel my fingers anymore and had to spend ages setting up the flashes and camera for every shot x_X.

I'm glad that at least a few of the photos were usable, though what is captured through the lens will never be as beautiful as what the scenery looked like in real life! TAT
