I've always really liked Naked Ape's work, particularly their darker and more bloody stories, and DOLLS is no exception. Sadly, I don't think that many people are aware of the series... ._.;; We decided to shoot the captains of the first three brigades, and I totally jumped at the chance to cosplay Rami. It's pretty rare that I like female characters, but I find I am usually drawn to the strong ones with a definite presence like her

I actually had a pretty tough time with the wig, since I set it using a straight non heat resistant base wig so getting the big corkscrew curls to stay in place was quite difficult! Thank god for super strong hair spray ( which I'm pretty sure was against all consumer health and safety regulations *cough* ).

It's pretty well known in Asia I think, but not so well known in the West. I guess it's just not quite the style that the Western market goes for? Plus there aren't very up to date translations of it in English as far as I can tell so I guess that limits the scope. :c
